South 2nd Street Sewer Separation Project
The South 2nd Street project consists of separation of the combined sewer along South 2nd Street, from just north of the Railroad bridge to the South Fork Licking River. In addition to the separation of the existing sewer and installation of new storm and combined sewers, the project scope includes roadway improvements, streetscaping upgrades, watermain replacement, and green infrastructure (GI) installation along South 2nd Street.
Additionally, sewer separation, roadway improvements, streetscaping, and waterline replacement may be performed along National Drive between South 2nd Street and South 4th Street if elected by the City. The project work is mandated by a compliance date in the City’s NPDES permit and must be completed by July 1, 2026. The estimated cost of the overall project is $25,000,000.
