EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Newark Development Partners (NDP) is seeking an Executive Director. NDP is a community improvement corporation established in 2012 under authority of Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1724 that serves as the economic development arm of the City of Newark, Ohio. The Executive Director will engage in strategic planning for the City’s economic growth and financial stability, oversee development projects, recruit and retain businesses and developers for the City’s managed growth and enhancement, develop productive relationships with City and county officials, potential business partners, and the public, manage projects and properties for NDP, and manage NDP’s internal operations. NDP’s charter is to assist the City in managing growth and economic development to improve the standard of living and business environment within the City.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree combined with significant experience in management and economic development, including project management experience and experience in budgeting and financial management. Desired qualifications include experience involving significant public outreach and relationship-building, experience in managing an organization engaged in diverse activities, and property management experience. This position reports to the Board of Directors of NDP.
