CONTRUCTION UPDATES
16 North Sewer Separation Project Phase 1
Part of the Long-Term Control Plan Bundle 2, this sewer separation project will include area north of SR 16 along SR 13 to Rugg Ave and North Street to the North Fork Licking River. Includes new Sanitary and Storm Sewers, Waterlines, asphalt and sidewalks and designed to reduce Combined Sewer Overflows and new infrastructure. This is the largest CSO project to date. Impact to traffic patterns on Hudson and Mt. Vernon Road and side streets will be noticed. Approximately 80 trees will be removed as part of the project but residents who desire to have a tree replanted can request the City replant a pre-approved variety of tree behind the sidewalks. The City is coordinating with ODOT for Log Pond Run Bridge replacement. Brick intersections will be installed where current brick streets are being removed to help with historic feel in the project area.
Cost: $38,000,000
Schedule: Bid Award expected February 26, 2026.
Construction start in March 2026 and must be completed by July 2028.
