The Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District has been contracted to perform daily services for the SID. Duties include; picking up trash, pulling weeds, general clean up, and keeping a watchful eye on the area. They have been picking up anywhere from 25 to 115 – 5-gallon containers of trash per week and averaging around 35 – 5-gallon containers of weeds pulled a week. The heavy rains have been impacting the weeds and trash. One of the biggest issues is cigarette butts. Please advise people to dispose of their cigarette butts in the dispensers.
